The role

What you would be doing

The field app is the platform's edge. It has to work on a budget Android phone in a lift with no signal, sync cleanly when the network returns, and never lose a receipt. You will own it: the offline store, the sync protocol, the capture screens and the release pipeline to private distribution.

  • Own the FOS app codebase (Expo React Native): features, performance, releases to Android and iOS.
  • Design the offline-first data layer and conflict-safe sync with the platform API.
  • Implement geo-tagging, camera capture, receipt numbering and secure local storage.
  • Run device testing on the phones officers actually carry; keep crash-free sessions above target.

You

What we need from you

  • Three years of React Native in production, with at least one shipped app on both stores or via private distribution.
  • Offline-first patterns, background sync, secure storage; comfortable with native modules when needed.
  • TypeScript; an eye for a form that works with one thumb in sunlight.

Good to have

  • Expo EAS and MDM distribution.
  • Maps and location services.
  • Field or logistics app experience.

Compensation and terms

Stated in the offer, in writing, with location, hours, certification and screening requirements. Where a role needs DRA certification we arrange and pay for it; a Police Clearance Certificate is required before joining floor and field roles.

The form takes five minutes. A CV link and a few lines on what you would do first.

    A conversation

Thirty minutes with the person you would work for, about the work, within five working days.

  3. 03

  4. 04

    An offer in writing

Compensation, location, hours, certification and screening requirements, before you decide.
