The role
What you would be doing
Today the platform runs co-located on Indian-region cloud hosts with a built-in ops console, nightly encrypted backups to Mumbai object storage, and alerts by email and WhatsApp. You will own that estate, take it to a properly separated production topology, and make upgrades and rollbacks boring.
- Own deployments, environments and the release process; make zero-downtime upgrades the norm.
- Operate PostgreSQL and Redis: tuning, partitions, connection pools, backups with tested restores.
- Build and maintain CI: lint, type checks, tests, integration suites, container builds.
- Run monitoring and alerting through the ops console; define SLOs with the platform lead.
- Plan and execute the migration to a multi-node, Indian-region topology with a documented DR plan.
- Own secrets management, TLS, patching and the security hygiene a BFSI vendor review asks about.

What we need from you
- Four years operating production Linux systems and containers (Docker; Compose or Kubernetes).
- Hands-on PostgreSQL administration: backups, restores, replication, upgrades.
- CI/CD with GitHub Actions or similar; infrastructure as code (Terraform or equivalent).
- Comfortable being paged, and determined to be paged less next month.
Good to have
- AWS Mumbai or another Indian-region cloud.
- Experience preparing systems for ISO 27001 or SOC 2 audits.
- Python scripting; Doppler or Vault.
